The Developmental Operation In Balochistan
Chief Minister of Balochistan Aslam Raeesani has said that no military operation is going on in any place in Balochistan. While talking to journalists yesterday he said that neither tanks, nor any military personnel have been deployed in Balochistan, though a "development operation" has been initiated in Balochistan for the welfare of the local people. He said, the miscreants who are responsible for spreading terror in the society will be pursued and apprehended by police and levies forces...

But Baloch political analysts are criticizing that Chief Minister’s current stance. They say he passes much of his time in Islamabad; therefore, he is deliberately turning a blind to the activities of security forces in order to please central government. However, it is no more a secret that security forces, secret agencies in particular, are involved in abducting, torturing and murdering Baloch political workers including other people belonging to different walks of life, on the other hand, in these worst conditions, police and levies forces are never seen in action, though sometimes they are shown like show pieces in the news papers. The analysts say that everyone knows including chief minister Aslam Raeesani that FC and secret agencies are holding real power in Balochistan in order to suppress political voices. They say that the nature of these activities is not less than a military operation. As a matter of fact, it is Army which has launched an operation in the disguise of FC Frontier Constabulary.
Baloch Political analysts further say that the kidnappings and dumped bodies of Baloch youths politicians, doctors, lawyers are may be the part of chief minister's "development operation". As everyone knows that security forces have always used brute force in the name of development. However, government might call the opinion of the public and political circles as anti-development but one thing is obvious that the government's version of development presents nothing for common people in Balochistan...
