The American Regard for Life
Whenever the United States launches a war against a third-world nation we constantly hear the refrain "They do not value life as we do." This is meant to excuse America's "collateral damage" of civilian life. We are told that other people do not have the high regard for human life that we civilized Americans do.

Ask yourself: does a nation which drops two atomic bombs on civilian areas value human life of all people?
Does a nation which seems to so casually enter into wars value human life?
Does a nation which supports and arms occupying and tyrannical regimes value all human life?
When the U.S. military launches one drone attack after another against the Afghan people and repeatedly kills civilians because it launches rockers often solely on thin intelligence - there's a convoy, for instance - and does not take precaution because if civilians die, o' well: does this nation value the human life of all people? Would the U.S. government so casually order drone attacks on such thin intelligence with a high likelihood that civilians will be killed as they have already if the U.S. were fighting white Europeans?
When the Pentagon measures civilian deaths in Afghanistan solely in P.R. value does this nation value human life?
Does a nation that produces such a man value human life?
'I didn't think of Iraqis as humans,' says U.S. soldier who raped 14-year-old girl before killing her and her family.
This is not to single out the United States and the American people: I believe that the human ability to de-humanize fellow men and women and behave toward them with callous indifference and plunder is universally spread across all borders and may manifest itself equally in all people.
