Terrorists Strike Hard in Charsadda, 70 Killed
In one of the deadliest terror attacks this year, at least 70 paramilitary recruits were killed in Shabqadar area of Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, this morning (Friday, May 13, 2011).

The attack took place outside the paramilitary training base in Shabqadar early morning, at about 6 am, this morning. According to news sources, it was an attack in twin blasts the first of which was made by a suicide bomber riding a motorbike and ramming it into the line of buses standing outside the Frontier Constabulary (FC) base where the recruits were getting on board the vehicles to spend some time home after completing 9 months of training.
Soon after the attack, another one again rocked the place as a cart driven by a horse/donkey, laden with explosives, was detonated at the same spot.
Both blasts brought havoc onto human life, killing at least 70 people and injuring about a 100 others. The injured were rushed to the lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, where 30 of them are said to be lying stranded between life and death.
News sources also confirm that Pakistani Taliban have accepted the responsibility for the blasts, calling it revenge for the “marturdom” of Osama Bin Laden who was killed by American military commandoes near a military training academy in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, earlier this month.
