Tea Party Creates WW2 Era-Type Posters
Nobody ever said the Tea Party lacked creativity.
The Tea Party flocks who gather in Washington and elsewhere have become infamous (of famous, if you even stupid racism) for their poster designs. Now some are quite innocent, benign and boring. And agreeable. But many are simply crude in their fanaticism, fascism and heavy racism.

It is quite common to come across a sign with racist undertones against Obama. Such as, say, a reference to a monkey in describing the president.
And there are the offensive ads claiming that the president is a Muslim - which is incredibly Islamophobic and anti-Muslim because it makes being a Muslim cause for suspicion and a dis-qualifier for the presidency in a free and secular society.
And there are the endless posters bringing about the "birther" non-sense. That B. Hussein Obama - as some call him - is a Kenyan native and not eligible to be president.
And let's not forget those tasteful Hitler-mustache posters. You see Hitler send millions of people into gas chambers and Obama wants the government to control health care, clearly it is like looking into the past.
But now a Tea Party-of sort has a new idea to promote themselves: WW2 Era inspiration ads. But this is a different Tea Party with a different message:
I had always been interested in the power and intersection of propaganda and design. And World War II was a fertile era for both. On my walk home I decided I'd see if I could recontextualize these posters' visual power with messages that speak to our present political roadblock. I formed the Chamomile Tea Party in an effort to bring calm to American political discourse. And I published the posters under the Party's moniker. Each poster is based on a World War II-era poster. On Flickr I actually show the original poster along with my updated version.
