Taliban Commander Released Secretly
BBC News agency has found out that a Taliban commander, who was arrested and jailed in Kabul for kidnapping foreign nationals, has been set free.

The Taliban Commander named Akbar Agha had been sentenced to imprisonment for 16 years in 2004.
Quoting sources close to the commander, BBC reports that Akbar Agha has been forgiven and set free on the directives of Hamid Karzai, the President of Afghanistan. However, a spokesman of the President has maintained that Karzai has no knowledge of such an order.
Three UN personnel, who were all foreign nationals included a woman and, two men, were abducted in 2004 and their release was made possible in a month.
After snatching these three foreigners, Akbar Agha had tried to establish his own group under the name ``Jaish-ul-Muslimeen``. Akbar Agha and his men were arrested, however, and sentenced to rigorous imprisonment in Kabul.
Sources close to Akbar Agha have said that the man had been set free on the directives of President Karzai on the conditions of not leaving Kabul.
