Tackling The Problem Of Eve-Teasing
Well, we are living in strange times. On one hand we find the ladies like Twinkle Khanna involved in the zip and unzip of his husband's pant in full view of arclight and ,on the other hand, we find women protesting about the eve teasing. As I come to post this article,my colleague informed me about the incident wherein girls in inebriated state outside a night disco club were molested in the late hours of night !!

The "sanskaras" lying in seed form within us when get "dhoop and paani" in form of sexual waves flowing in the air they germinate, becoming cause of worry for whole society.People always talk about eve-teasing but they forget that even Adam is being seduced and raped .Do you remember how young boys are being subjected to exploitation in places like Goa ?
Anyway, let me put in brief what I think can be done to reduce the incidents of eve teasing.
1.Don't be hypersensitive while dealing with such issues. I feel the women of our times have become hypersensitive regarding their bodies. So even a casual push makes them give way to usual tamasha (drama)on the street. Now when they are working ,they think that whole world should become feminine right from special trains ,special buses and who knows there may be a special road as well.
2. Shape the "samskaras" right from the beginning .If you born with songs like this hit village song 'Miss call marat baatu kiss debu ka ho "(you are giving miss calls to have a kiss) or " Zara Zara kiss me" then just forget they will treat woman as a human being. Then she will be no more than a sex object.
3. All such activities are result of lack of education as well. They are also result of the society that does not let girls interact with boys in a healthy way.I am only trying to say allow the suppressed desires a healthy outlet.

4.The world has changed .In yesteryear calling a lady "sexy" on street was supposed to be offensive gestures. In our times terms such as "hot chick" , "sexy girl"," mast item" and "Rapchik Maal" ,to name a few, have become a normal words in a dictionary of modern youth. Surprisingly, any boy not using such terms is viewed as devoid of manhood in female circles.
So my advice to eves of India is that let's not be "reactionary " while dealing with such issues.Have a look at the paradoxes governing this world and then react. In other words, let's react in an intelligent fashion instead of giving way to a knee jerk reaction. However,I will love to repeat that I am in now way trying to lessen the pains of average Indian woman who never miss to find a distorted guy in every nook and corner of the city or a village.
