Suha Arafat And Her Partners in Crime
It is fitting that the lousy Yasir Arafat, who let corrupt men surround him even in his sleep, would marry an even more despicable person.

'Arafat at least had the decency to never be personally corrupt and did, albeit it was often compromised by his naive and futile effort to appease the United States, try to advance the interests of the Palestinians.
His second wife, Suha Arafat, on the other hand could care less about normal Palestinians. Instead, while Arafat was alive she was living in Tunisia and in Paris receiving illicit funds; funds from Western governments and international institutions which were supposed to go help the Palestinians but instead millions, hundreds of millions, was siphoned off by corrupt Palestinian officials. And Suha received enough funds that she even opened up hotels in Tunisia as another source of revenue.
When 'Arafat died, the PLO offered Suha a large one-time payment and then much smaller annual payments that totaled in the millions. Given her already corruptly enriched bank account, she did not deserve anything had more than enough for her and her daughter. But her entitlement to theft is as such that even the PLO's absurd "insurance" policy for Suha was demeaned insufficient for her and she sued (and failed) them to receive more money and this lawsuit fortunately lead the PLO to retract its offer and she got nothing in the end.
As a reflection of her corrupt, Suha grew close to the Trebelsi clan in Tunisia which are the in-laws of President Ben Ali and are notorious for their mafia efforts to monopolize the national economy in their hands, turn the nation into a Banana Republic and arbitrarily shut down any competitions: including schools (a rough translation of a French article):
It is a flagship of French culture in North Africa that drains into the general silence. The Lycée Louis Pasteur Tunis private not reopen its doors next September. As decided by local authorities without providing any explanation to interested families in mind.
On a visit this afternoon in Tunis, Nicolas Sarkozy might have moved to the abrupt closure of this renowned establishment which hosted more than 1,000 students. But the subject is not on the menu of his talks with his counterpart Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Too sensitive.
The wife of Tunisian President Ben Ali Leila and her friend, Suha Arafat, widow of former Palestinian leader, launched just in September an international school, International School of Carthage that will propose a dual American and French curricula. By simple ukase, here stripped of their main competitor. They may even hope to recover his students now on the street. "We are aware of the background, says it at the Quai d'Orsay. But it is a case in which Tunisian-Tunisian can not intervene". The Lycée Louis Pasteur had yet been established in 2005 in partnership with the French Institute of Cooperation and had to make representations to the Ministry of Education, Paris, to be contracted.
These are Suha's business partners: fellow thugs who use power to destroy honest people.
Finally, she tired to marry one of the Trebelsis, but because he was already married and polygamy is illegal in Tunisia she had her Tunisian citizenship suspended and was forced out of the country.
Good riddance. Maybe the Trebelsis will one day join her.
