Stay-at-home moms should be paid £30,000 for their services
There is no doubt about the fact that caring and nurturing for your family is a full-time job. But, imagine being paid for it!

Well, according to a poll conducted by www.alljoinon.com (a networking site for housewives) on 4,000 housewives, they should be.
If you are curious to know, how this figure has been arrived at, this is done so by calculating the time spent by a housewife to do a particular task and how much a particular professional would have charged for it. For eg, according to the research, a housewife on an average would spend roughly about 14 minutes making the beds - for which a chambermaid on an hourly wage of about £5.52 would be paid not any thing less than £1.29. Similarly the cost of cleaning, preparing a meal for the family, bathing the kids, etc has been calculated.
Honestly, I find the whole notion a little weird, being paid to love and look after the family? Then what is the difference between me and a person paid for his/her services?
Women give up successful jobs/ careers to stay back at home and rear kids in the hope that the love, affection and attention they shower on their children will help them to grow into responsible and well-adjusted adults. Why just children, the housewives stay at home thinking that they would be able to spend more quality time with their spouses ( if both partners are constantly on the run, where is the time to even share a cup of tea/ coffee in peace?) and have well-looked after homes.
I feel love and affection in return is the way to show your appreciation for your partner who stays at home and not money…money is so impersonal. What do you say?
