Silva breaks nine-game losing streak

Carlos Silva won for the first time in 13 starts spanning nearly 2 1/2 months and the Seattle Mariners beat former teammate Cha Seung Baek and the San Diego Padres 4-2 on Saturday night.
Adrian Beltre had three hits and two RBIs for the Mariners, who won for the fourth time in five games but still have the worst record in the majors, 30-50.
