Should Paralympics be organized within the Olympics?

SPORTS. .

One of the main aims of Paralympics is to promote disabled persons' cause. However, organizing it separately, with very less world attention, is not fulfilling the purpose. Organizing it within the main Summer Olympics would draw the world’s attention towards the difficulties faced by the disabled people. Winners of Paralympics events would be able to add to the final medal tally of the countries too. Some disfavor the idea, as it would dilute the spirit of the participants, who though would not be directly competing with able-bodied athletes, may fail to come to the limelight. In addition, there are fears that the main event might overshadow the Paralympics altogether if organized within it.
