With the news that Sachin has been invited by Wimbledon to be present in the Royal Box, Indian Sports world can feel proud of one of its legend.
But again, can this be treated as a win of Indian sports world? Or someone from Indian tennis could add feather to the cap, had someone from tennis reached the height to be acknowledged in a similar way.
Answer to the Qn is: Yes, Indian Sports can feel proud of a legend who has time and again proved critics wrong by coming against all odds to deliver gem of an innings. And to most of the kids who have just started to watch the games, Sachin has become a synonymous to the game itself.
India should look out for some more sportpersons who can reach to this height to add some more sports to the most watched sports category. Whether this would happen in days to come or months to come or it needs generations to come, is indeed a question to be answered by Indian sportpersons.
