After Education what next? We have been amending our constitution time and again to make it a living document and not a dictum of closed mindset of any religion .I think good living condition be included as fundamental right of an individual so one can live with dignity and honor. This would include all three fundamental needs of an Aam Admi i.e. Roti, Kapada and Makan.
Let State is responsible so that every citizen lives with dignity. Recent reports of hunger related deaths emanating from Orissa and Madhya Pradesh are disturbing. We have sufficient food grains in stock but this could not be delivered to the people despite of the fact that schemes like NEREGA etc. are being implemented for poor people. It means that machinery involved to do all this is either not functioning or some thing is lagging in the system that needs to be corrected.
Water, environment, health, law and order, you name any thing is bad and in times to come all this would become very difficult to live with.
There is no system in place for collection of Garbage and its subsequent disposal. Local bodies are not fully aware of their responsibilities and every city of India smells badly. Take rivers all the rivers are getting polluted but hardly any visible action on the ground. Take health as a subject, no Govt. hospital is worth the salt to give treatment to needy people. The condition of all Govt. run and managed hospitals is hopeless. Talk of environment it is getting polluted by every passing day. City life is becoming bad. Village life is either not that lucrative. Basic facilities are just not there. Lot of reforms is being seen to be taken on panchayats etc. but when it comes to power, health, other infrastructure support simply does not exist. You take any subject which is in the domain of the Govt. a lot needs to be done.
If all this can not be done during this regime then no one can do it in future? So let us have hope against hope. Very words of great soul Mahatma Gandhi will remind people in government that freedom would remain illusive till the last tear of the eye is not wiped out.
It looks like that with the opening of economy every thing is meant for rich people. Poor has no place in the society. So you have to be rich and to be fair no one would mind even you become rich by doing wrong things. All facilities are now for wealthy people. If you have money then you can get the moon if not then better wait for your death warrant?
I may be wrong in asking for moon but some has to demand then only things may happen….
