Audi’s latest advertising campaign, called ‘The Audi Spectacle’, hopes to take billboard signage to a new level, literally. Audi’s ad gurus, Access Agency, wants to hang huge ‘Audi rings’ below international landmarks including Sydney Harbour Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Tower Bridge, Venice. When the Municipalities and states seems desperate for money, it’s not hard to imagine any of them selling premium billboard space to keep schools open or fix ancient gas lines – even if it means bastardizing a historic monument. So, the question remains whether such campaigns be allowed, even if the cause is noble?
