Shimon Peres Booed At Oxford
Israeli president Shimon Peres was at Ofxord yesterday to deliver a speech on world peace, ironically, as the head of state of Israel. The lecture was titled The Globalization of Peace that is part of a series of lectures Peace Lectures: Inaugurated by Shimon Peres.
But unlike in the United States where Palestinians advocates are silenced and intimidate or people are ignorant about the Zionist state's doings, people in the United Kingdom are well-informed about the suffering about the Palestinian people. And they were not going to let Peres get off the hook (although, to his credit, Peres is one the peace-pursuing Israelis and as far as one is considered with making even temporary peace with Israel, he should be seen as an ally).

(Protesters outside of the Oxford lecture hall.)
While Peres was giving his speech, student protests could be heard outside throughout the entire duration. At one point, several student stood up and stated "I represent all the Palestinians who...". One of them was forced out of the venue.
If such students had dared to try such things on any U.S. campus, they would have been called terrorist by the Israel-loving U.S. media.
