Serbia’s war crimes prosecutor’s office says it has indicted two Serbs in the 1992 killing of about 700 Muslims in eastern Bosnia.
The prosecutor’s office says in a statement that Branko Grujic and Branko Popovic “knowingly and in synchronized manner” took part in the “massive killings” of Muslims civilians.
The statement issued on Tuesday says the killings took place near the town of Zvornik on the border with Bosnia.
It says Grujic and Popovic had taken top positions in the local authorities at the time.
