Seattle police gun down rampaging, cop killer!
He wasn't going back to prison.
Whatever goal Maurice Clemmons had in mind, that plan must've been somewhere. What else would explain the magnitude of terror he caused over last weekend, Early this morning, Clemmons ended his murderous rampage by himself being gunned down. Renton Police blocked off a neighborhood where the lethal confrontation took place.

A lone officer found the felon inside a stolen vehicle. Surprisingly, Clemmons still remained in the Seattle area. A city-wide dragnet was implemented after he ambushed and killed four officers inside a coffee house Sunday morning. Three policemen and one woman were shot while preparing for their morning shifts. A barista spotted a gun in Clemmons's jacket while the criminal stood at the counter. When Clemmons fled out the back door, he whipped around and hit the officers with a fusillade of bullets.
One of the wounded policemen got a hold of the killer. A scuffle ensued and apparently Clemmons left with an injury. However, the officer died along with as colleagues. Seattle was then placed on alert. Clemmons remained at large for almost two days. However, his "one-man war" against the police ended in gunfire. But, the story didn't end there.
Former Presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee has received public scorn for his involvement with Clemmons. Apparently, the governor pardoned this criminal despite his lengthy career of committing aggressive and violent offenses. Prior to the cop shootings, Clemmons was bailed out of jail while facing charges of aggravated robbery and second-degree rape of a child. Those charges earned him a $150,000 bond. Somehow, he raised the $15,000 necessary to get released.
Clemmons was looking at 25 years to life for the recent crimes. As with Huckabee, he was looking at 25 years to life but earned early release after 10 years. But, he skirted the law (with the legal system's help) and was on the street. He killed four officers. He terrorized a city and perhaps the northwest part of the country. And, he got his wish of not returning to prison alive. His $15,000 was well spent at our expense.
