SC enforces ED to detain Hasan Ali for interrogation
Is it at all whitewash of our Government? Hasan Ali Khan, Pune stud farm owner, is facing charges of huge money laundering and tax evasion. He has been taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate after a day-long search of his premises by its officials today. Bravo Supreme Court!
See, how the things are in a mess. Our democratic government often fails to go beyond the limitation of its coalition ministry and invigorate its power. As a result a serious case associate with huge black money hoarding can, in no way, be retrieved.
How very unfortunate we are! Presently, our Supreme Court shoulders the entire responsibility to bring to bay in particular our elected members of parliament and as a whole the government that stands as the supreme authority to administer our country.
Sadly, so many scams associated with a King holding profuse black stored in foreign banks seem to us as the last event: ‘Go as you like’ in our annual athletic meet. Perhaps Hasan Ali Khan has own the first prize. O no, his very logical advocate Mr Gaur confirms “Khan had not stashed any money in the Swiss banks. "There is no black money lying anywhere.” Then leaving us, the rank and file, where do our Government and the Supreme Court stand, please?
“Yes, there is an allegation. Everything has been accounted for. There is no such amount (USD 8 billion) lying in UBS and UBS has also said they have no relationship (with Khan)," Mr. Gaur said.
“About the Rs 40,000 crore penalty that the Income Tax authorities plan to recover from Khan for tax evasion, he said, there was no evidence of him having stashed away such huge amounts to warrant the penalty.”
Naturally, all such investigations, comments and assurances have led us abide by in jeopardy. O God! Let us live alone peacefully. We appeal to SC not to disturb our very existence under the shadow of desperate creator of scams one after another and callous governance. We respect our individuality.
