Sarah Palin Just Milking the Doe?
Sarah Palin recently joked about Newt Gingrich's advise that hinting that you'll run for president results in higher speaking fees. That is genuine gambit for Palin.

After her resignation from the Alaska governorship because the local press was too critical, the idea that Palin could handle the unending scrutiny of a presidential campaign is farcical. Palin, of course, can always dismiss the press as "elites" but a presidential run still requires an unlimited aspiration for restless politicking, which Palin may not have.
But in the meantime, since she'd resign, Palin has made millions from a best-selling book deal, Fox News contributor slot, a reality series and, of course, those speaking fees. Reportedly Palin has made $12million in 2010 alone. Her speaking fees alone usually earn her $100,000 an event.
Here's my theory: Palin has never intended to run for president, but is solely seeking to profit by fueling speculation that she might otherwise the media would loss interest in her since there is no reason to cover her ignorant talking points. Even Fox News would grow tired and Palin would be less lucrative for publishers and get less bookings.
Palin is simply too lazy to run for president (to say nothing of being inexperience and ill-informed), and being a millionaire with a passionate following, a Fox News gig, own show et al while being able to exercise great influence in national politics (see for example her comment on death panels) without the responsibility of actually being in office and have to navigate the tedious nature of Americans is just so much easier and profitable an option.
Why would Palin give all that up for a 2-year presidential run which even she knows she can't win?
Palin is not running for president, just milking the speculation for all its worth.
