Reusable bags are in to stay on, goodbye plastic bags
Did you ever realize that a family of eight could be collecting around 6000 plastic bags every month? Well, yes and that's according to the recent survey by WWF environmentalists. In Phillipines, a friend's family had collected 6000 bags in a month. It's the same in India and anywhere else in the world probably.

No wonder, that these plastic bags ended up in clogging the drainage system of Metro Manila which had caused the Ondoy floods a year back. So it's not the disposable bags for single use but the reusable bags that are much in vogue now. At certain shops, the customers bringing in the reusable bags are given discounts. A good move, that way, to pep up the buyers with the discount boost! The good news is that a million customers bring in the reusable bags. The 2009 winners of the Miss Earth contest had modeled the stylish reusable bags at a fashion show. You can see the Miss Phillipines winners model the trendy reusable bags in the picture.
The present market is busy making the reusable bags now as they are more in demand.
