These days both the national parties are on the recruitment process for new cadre for the party. It’s fine, no problem. Only one thing which is not understood by a commoner is what type of recruitment is this in which there are no discussions about the remuneration but only activities to be performed.
As an individual I fail to understand when a normal youth, who has to make its two end needs meet has to have earning of at least Rs.10,000/= per month. Why any one will come forward to dedicate himself for the cause of the party, unless there are some hidden advantages. This is where the silver lining lies and the million dollar question? How our political system is going to survive? Now a day’s political activity has become full time. No part time work would be able to win the heart of the people. In good old days people who were either well off or their profession like education/law etc. used to give sufficient spare time used to join politics. Tell me how an engineer or medico or for that reason any other profession can think of joining any party when he has to spend 9-12 hrs. per day for earning his lively hood? Even those who had seen the prime of the life and not necessarily dependent on any job were also interested in politics. But now in the given situation who would really come forward. A normal person does not have the background that of existing wards of political leaders whose father or mothers have amassed sufficient wealth and they can thrive on based on their family back ground. Hence, this recruitment looks to be unhealthy and smack.
I believe that it would do lot of good if these national parties come out and share their vision of future and clear goals are fixed for making society free of corruption. Otherwise it would be believed that the one who wants to enter in politics must have extra constitutional way of income. Income may come from loot, ransom, murder etc. Only such people would join politics that have these qualifications to back with.
Let the air is cleared if not for any other reason but for the sake posterity…….
