Rahul Gandhi Creates Hysteria among Girl Students in Bihar
The youth icon of congress does it all to build the party’s base in Bihar, from supporting Biharis living in Mumbai to signing dupattas of his women fans in Bihar
AICC Genral Secretary Rahul Gandhi can surely give Shahrukh Khan a run for his money. The dynamic leader’s visit to Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga a small town in Bihar created a stampede among the girl students just to reach out to him. The visit on Monday was scheduled for a student interaction session with the young leader. Amongst tight Z Security, around 1000 students, mostly girls, were screened to interact with Gandhi, while a large mob thronged outside the secured area just to get a glimpse of the star leader. Incidentally, the girls sitting in the front row got so frantic seeing Rahul on the dais that they almost got hysterical when he came down amongst them to shake hands. Many threw themselves on him literally. Amongst tears and excited shouts, Shikha Rani, of R.K. College, Madhubani, in absence of a paper, offered her dupatta to him for autograph, to which he willingly obliged. Soon there were a lot of other girls following suit and lot of pretty palms were autographed by the usually shy Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul had to come back on the dais when things got a little out of control and he quickly shifted the focus on the Question and Answer session. Parminder Mishra, a student of PG department of English, shot the first question to Rahul,
“Despite Bihar producing the highest number of IAS and IPS officers, why is it still considered a backward state?”
To which Rahul cleverly said,
“I think this should be answered by the teachers present here.”
Dr. RK Mishra, former Principal, MLSM College, blamed the lack of infrastructure and frequent power cuts for the state’s backwardness. Another student, Manju Kumari gushed,
“Shaking hands with Rahul Gandhi is like a dream come true. I have always been his diehard fan.”
Local politicians however, believed that this visit was intended to strengthen the Congress base in Bihar. The gathering gave him a loud applaud when Rahul said,
“North Indians (NSG) saved Mumbaikars during 26/11. If terror has to be fought, let Biharis stay in Mumbai.”
