Prop. 19 Goes Down In California
We've feared the worst, some of us said 'no it could never happen', we prayed for a happy outcome, but now we must face facts: legal marijuana has failed in California.

This is such BS!
The drug war and marijuana criminalization has made even more dangerous American ghettos, has also cost lives, and is the cause of horrific battles between the Mexican drug cartels and the state. Just to name a few perverse effect.
A now over two-decades long federal effort has not hampered one bit the feasibility of obtaining marijuana. Any high school student with cash could get marijuana in no more than half an hour.
It is time to stop childishly demonizing marijuana use and usher in a reasonable debate on marijuana consumption.
In short, the benefits of legalization: lower incarceration rate and $14.1 billion in tax payer savings, and nearly a billion generated in sales taxes. Um..., endless futile drug war costing billions versus peaceful trade generating hundreds of millions in productivity taxes. Um.... what to do?
But - a wise man once said - nobody ever lost money betting against the intelligence of the American people. Damn right!
California's voters rejected the measured and San Francisco was the only municipality to vote in favor. Even liberal, Hollywood Los Angeles narrowly voted against.
I knew this would happen and I even predicted the Achilles' heal: Unfortunately, this ballot measure may, in fact, go down. Partly because potheads are too lazy to go and vote for it. But it is such a evident good that marijuana should finally be legalized.
And that's exactly what happened:
The measure drew strong support from voters younger than 25, as the campaign had hoped, but those voters did not turn out in unusually high numbers, according to a state exit poll.
These youth love the smoke weed, but here's their chance and they blew it! This generation truly is made of assholes!
