Pope names Wyo. bishop to head Green Bay diocese

Pope Benedict XVI has chosen the bishop of Cheyenne, Wyo., to head the Green Bay diocese in Wisconsin.
The Vatican said Wednesday that 55-year-old Monsignor David L. Ricken has been appointed to the Wisconsin post.
Ricken is from Kansas and has studied church law at Rome’s prestigious Pontifical Gregorian University.
