Police: 22 dead as bus plunges into river in Indian Kashmir

Police say at least 22 people were killed and three others injured when a bus traveling through a mountainous area in India’s portion of Kashmir plunged into a river.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hemant Lohia says Thursday’s accident took place near Warda, a village 93 miles of Srinagar, the main city of India’s Jammu and Kashmir state.
He says it is not immediately known how many passengers were traveling on the privately owned bus.
