PLX4032, hopefully the wonder drug for bone cancer

A drug known as PLX4032 at a Barkeley lab, which is now being used on bone cancer patients, showed remarkable shrinking in the tumours of 11 patients.

Randy Williams,46, from Arkansas, tried this drug in M D Anderson cancer center in Houston, rolled out of bed. "something's working",he thought because nothing's hurting.Dr Keith Flaherty, from university of Pennsylvania Oncologists was happy to hear this in 2008 as he is leading the drugs first clinical trial. The scan showed how a patient's tumors shrank in 15 days after he began using this drug.

so seems its a new hope for patients who suffering from bone cancer whose bodies are riddled with tumors,leaving them barely months to live and that too with unbearable pain.
