Parents To Be Fined for Circumcision

I've written about this yesterday about how some idiot in San Francisco, the most deranged leftist town in America perhaps, is proposing a law to ban circumcision within city parameters. It very may well be an attempt to keep Muslims and Jewish away from his neighborhood.

The proposed ballot initiative would make it an actual crime, a misdemeanor, to circumcision your own child with a punishment of either up to a $1,000 fine or one year in jail.

The author of the measure is a certain Lloyd Shofield (which sounds Jewish to me, perhaps of the self-hating variety who wants a goyish looking one) who argues that adult males should be able to make the decision on their own as to circumcision once they're old enough and not have their parents impose their religious and/or health preference on the child.

"It's genital mutilation. It's a man's body and...his body doesn't belong to his culture, his government, his religion or even his parents. It's his decision," Shofield told local news.

And should parents also be prohibited from imposing their dietary and educational preferences on their children? These asshole liberal fanatics need to learn that this is a perfectly normal practice and it is not up to them to tell parents what they may do or do not with their infant (as long as it's not harming the child, and contrary to silly anti-circumcision propaganda it isn't harming the child); it is the parent's child and nobody's business. The insane impertinence of this zealot to go around seeking to make criminals out of parents upholding an honest and healthy tradition going back thousands of years with their children which is solely a private matter beyond the remit of the state.

But that's San Francisco go you.

Voters in San Francisco aren't certain to get an opportunity to cut out circumcision; Schofield needs to round up more than seven thousand signatures for the initiative to make it onto the ballot next November.

Let's hope that this is just another crackpot liberal scheme which dies soon.
