Outbreak of Dengue Fever in Pakistan
The national Health Institute has confirmed one thousand, two hundred and seventy dengue cases across Pakistan.

According to News Channel Express 24/7, One thousand cases have been reported in Karachi alone.
Over in Rawalpindi, Doctors at Holy family Hospital say they’ve taken in forty one new cases of dengue fever in recent days.
While a hundred cases have been confirmed in Punjab. Thirty five in Islamabad, fifty five in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The WHO says up to 50 million people are infected each year.
The mosquito borne Dengue is aptly called the bonebreaker disease as it causes intense pain. The district and federal health departments claim doing the needful by carrying out awareness campaigns, anti mosquito fumigation and giving emergency treatment facility. But the residents complain of lack of proper guidance and treatment facilities.
District Chakwal is the worst hit area in Punjab. The District Headquarters hospital lacks adequate treatment facility and every single patient with fever is being referred to hospitals in Rawlapindi or Islamabad.
Few days back,Chakwal Executive District Officer (Health) Dr Arshad Ali Sabir was suspended by Health Secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad,for his failure to timely take anti-dengue fever measures.
