Obama Appoints Wall Street Crony As Chief-of-Staff
Can the liberal honeymoon with Obama suspend the naive belief that Obama really cares about genuine change? As if the liberal dream is under the aegis of Obama only to be corrupted by, say, Blue Dog Democrats or whatever convenient excuse.

Liberals are writhing with the news that Obama has just appointed a former J.P. Morgan official, a Wall Street firm which received billions in bailouts, to be his new chief-of-staff. But this is Washington where this is congenital manner of appointing establishment personnel to head up important offices. Delay, the new C.o.S., will no doubt bring about his fellow crony capitalist minions who will offer a riposte to the few remaining liberal idealists and their ideals in the administration. The very idea that a Wall Street official would now lead the administration makes it clear that Obama's policies are athwart to radical reform to a corporate socialist economy.
But the scourging of Obama is always to easily forgotten as the left is reminded of the far worse alternative in the form of Republicans. But that's what they want: the liberals constantly transfixed by the worse Republicans and thus willingly to settle for ever diminishing returns among the lesser-of-two-evils Democrats. Liberals seem to be appear of this but as if in a stilted manner fall in line with the Democratic party regardless. And every election season listen to the Democrats' chimerical promises. Rarely are they extant post-election.
What the left needs is its own Tea Party rebellion. A fusillade attack against the Democratic establishment. Until then there should be no absolution for the Democrats. Only an intra-rebellion will allow for the liberals to parlay their promises and initial hope into a genuine victory.
