North Korea carries out nuclear test, world watches haplessly
North Korea finally proves that it has the 'capability to cope' by successfully conducting the nuclear test despite worldwide protests and criticism.

It hardly matters now that the White House calls the move "provocative" and China rebuff it as "brazen", the North Korean regime has no doubt openly chosen an isolated path in a view to achieve individual sovereignty in the name of nuclear armament.
North Korea's statement that the underground test had brought "happiness to our people" clearly reflects the triumphant mood of the populace.
According to South Korean media, the test took place in Gilju in Hamgyong province at 1036 (0136 GMT), and even U.S. and Japan have confirmed detection of seismic waves in the country, though the specifications of the bomb are yet to be confirmed.
Diplomats around the world are planning for an emergency UN Security Council meeting to monitor the situation and take immediate action against the act that has undoubtedly jeopardized the world security but unleashing a new nuclear age.
