The prosecutor investigating rape allegations against a group of New Jersey state troopers says no charges will be filed against them.

Lawyers representing seven troopers who have been suspended with pay since December say their clients are “elated” and are looking forward to resuming their careers.

A spokeswoman for the Middlesex County prosecutor says the case has been closed, but wouldn’t comment further.

In December, a woman told authorities that she had been raped by a group of troopers she met at a Trenton night club. She had claimed she was attacked at the home of one of the troopers.
