In December, talk show host, Nancy Grace reported on a true tragedy.
A four year-old African-American boy disappeared from his home in Rebirth, New Jersey. He was being watched by his mom's live-in boyfriend. Apparently, that individual said the child "just wandered off from the house".
The boy's distraught mother gave a heartwrenching, press conference begging for her son's safe return. Unfortunately, yesterday's news confirmed the obvious.
Cavader dogs discovered human remains hidden inside a duffle bag in a wooded area. This wooded area sat two blocks outside the child's home. The body remained at the city morgue waiting to be properly indentified.
Police said that the area was investigated earlier, but bad weather prevented an extensive search. When the weather improved, they scoured the area and "got lucky".
Months ago, Ms. Grace interviewed the boy's mother. She asked him questions about his pass convictions child abuse, child endangerment and an aggravated assault on an teenager. The mother defended her boyfriend despite the convictions. She remained vehement that he had NOTHING to do with her son's possible murder.
As of yesterday, he was in a New Jersey jail on a parole violation. Officially, authorities declared him a "person of interest" in the boy's disappearance.
