New bus stops coming up on Delhi-UP border
At last Ghaziabad seems to have agreed to catch up with the lost time for getting ready to be the good host for CWG-2010.
There is good news if you are commuting to Delhi and often wait for a bus near the border.
The Municipal Corporation of Ghaziabad has converted many old and broken bus stops to stylish and swanky stops.
The new bus shelters have comfortable chairs and a brighter look with new tiles. As per the new project these bus shelters will be given on a build- operate-transfer (BOT) basis.
“Earlier the bus shelters bore a shabby look. There were no lights and also no place to sit. These new stops look brighter and better,“ says one user from in East Delhi.
“The priority is the Delhi- Uttar Pradesh border, keeping in view the Commonwealth Games and Rs. One Crore have been approved for the project,“ says city magistrate, Umesh Mishra.
