The mis governance on part of various sports bodies have made a national sports curriculum a distant dream. The anarchic set-ups of various bodies have made it impossible to provide it a reality. Sunil Dutt's last few days in his office witnessed rough scenes, which provoked him to state that. so long the sports officials are trapped in politics, the better plans to improve the sports structure can never be executed'.
Going by the scenario that prevails in this nation it's clear that interests of players will always remain secondary to concerns of the petty officials. Unless drastic measures are taken on war footing there is little hope for emergence of better work culture that does justice to case of players. It's high time that sports officials, who have become pawns in the hands of unscrupulous elements be kept at bay to execute such noble designs to reshape the psyche of players.
