Narcos Kidnap small Mexican Town, Residents Plead for Help via Internet
Residents of Los Comales, located in the border town of Camargo, Tamaulipas, issued an urgent request via Internet for assistance after reporting they have been held "kidnapped" for almost two months by bands of organized crime which have taken shelter in this once quaint town.

"We request urgent assistance from the people who read this. Please I beg you to help us, we are hostages in Comales, they will not let us leave, there is no way out. With tears in my eyes, I beg of you, please help. God help us. ""There is no law, there is nothing left. Everything is controlled by them: gas, food, medicines. There is no work, no school, shops are closed. Everything is exclusive for them. There are gravely ill people, sick in their homes ... but there are no doctors there is no way out even if to see a doctor in Camargo. We are dying little by little ... I do not ask of you for myself, I ask of you for my children and so many other innocent people here. We are going to die or they are going to kill us ... I await your assistance and am eternally grateful."
Another message from Comales read:
Attention Navy, Secretary of National Defense, and anyone else who can help: Comales needs help. There is no way in or out. There is no gas. Children are not in school. People can't leave their houses. Please help. The people of Comales can not continue like this. They have lived for almost two months in fear of everything and everyone.
The municipal of Camargo first grabbed national and International media attention on February 27,2010 after a anonymous young woman uploaded a self narrated video showing the aftermath of Zeta vs Gulf Cartel shoot out. This video was the first of now many videos and photos which offer proof of what the Governor and Mayors of Tamaulipas had so adamantly denied: Cartels had divided and been reaccommodated into two Mega Cartels. War had been declared.
"We are experiencing a terrible situation." "We have lot of fear: nobody wants to be out on the streets because we don't know when it could happen again", said a resident of that city. Nobody has come to our aid. We have gone without sleeping, laying flat on the floor, for fear of being struck by stray bullets".-Narration of an anonymous Youtube video.
Residents of Comales, Camargo have declared the young women from this video, was not only kidnapped by the Zetas almost three weeks ago, but also lost her home to a firebomb in a recent cartel attack. They continue to plead to her kidnappers online for her safe return.
Camargo was attacked for the second time in the early hours of Monday. Numerous homes were looted and burned as well as Corpus Christi Hospital, a doctor's office, Chachi's flower shop, the Zurita and San Juan hotels, a restaurant and a beauty salon.
Although citizen reports of what was happening began to spread online from early Monday morning, the constantly updated webpage of the Government of Tamaulipas has continuously reported the municipality of Camargo as being "sin novedades", no new news or situations.
According to the inhabitants of Camargo, Gulf cartel convoys entered during the morning and fought for more than two hours against Los Zetas.
