My Thoughts on Eid Al Fitr: (Day 3)
Today is the third day of Eid Al Fitr; and here’s more news from my side on how Muslims around the globe celebrated the day…
Obviously this Eid was just like any other day for the people of Gaza; it was just as much filled with fear, anger and stress as usual, since Israel decided to send them gifts in the form of flying rockets, only those rockets were not toys, and they were not fun, especially with the fact that they resulted in at least 5 casualties…
“a Hamas security compound in Gaza City, a Hamas training camps in the north of the coastal territory, a tunnel in the south along the border with Egypt were hit by the Israeli aircraft.Israel's daily newspaper Haaretz cited Hamas sources reporting five were injured when Israeli fighter jest hit a training center in Gaza City.
Israel also mounted air strikes in the north and in the southern border city of Rafah, targeting a smuggling tunnel.”-Worldbulletin.net
Of course, later that day, only hours after the Israeli attack, Hamas fired rocket into Israel, probably as a proof that they exist still, and that they will hit back when attacked…
Now the sad/funny thing is that Israel claims to have raided on Palestinian sites
“after a rocket and mortar round were fired into southern Israel on Thursday, causing neither damage nor casualties.”-Worldbulletin.net… and probably will hit back because Hamas made their response, a reaction that I will be expecting from Hamas later on to create an endless circle of attacks…
So, will Israel ever give up on trying to kill all Hamasis left, and kill lots and lots of civilians in the process in a trial of making people rebel against Hamas? It didn’t really work before, so why would it work now? I think it is about time Israel decided to spare some lives and looked for more peaceful ways of negotiating…
It is so sad to think that those raids have made Eid no more “special” than previous ones, as it was practically just as SCARY for Gazan children who are constantly trying to find some joy in a merciless world…
