Monumental Blunder--Toddler's Legs Amputated By Mistake
What a horrible, horrible mistake, the one which cannot be reversed in anyway. There cannot be any condoning of such blunders.

Thembisa Koimetsi a 2 year old perfectly normal toddler was admitted in the Far East Rand hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa for treatment of burns on her hands. As this hospital was unable to provide proper treatment she was shifted to Charlotte Maxeke Acadamic Hospital, where something went horribly wrong. Some mis-communication and they amputated both her healthy legs instead of treating her burnt hands, making a perfect individual invalid for life.
Of course after the hue and cry by the helpless parents the Hospital Authorities came into action and are now talking about taking action against the culprits but it would not give poor Thembisa her legs back.
There has been previous complaints about the callous attitude of Hospitals in Johannesburg area. A grieving Father had complained that he had to search for the body of his new born baby who unfortunately died in child-birth through the bodies of 40 dead children. His allegations are also being investigated.
What is the use of taking a Hippocratic Oath if one tends to forget about it the moment one becomes a medical practitioner. Leave aside compassion now even a human being has become a mere body for them to experiment upon. What a ghastly experiment!
