Moderate Arab Countries towards Confronting Iranian Intervention

I previously suggested that the geopolitical split and struggle in the region is exposed, and now they constitute a key geopolitical reality of the Middle East, especially after the recent Gaza crisis has contributed to exposing many key geopolitical realities and facts concerning the Arab region and the broader Middle Eastern region. This geopolitical division splits the Arab region and the Arab countries into two major camps, which are the mainstream moderate Arab camp and the radical and extremist camp mainly including Baath-dominated Syria, Hamas and the recently-exposed Qatar, which constitutes in addition to Hezbullah the regional camp led and sponsored by Iran.

The recent severe Iranian campaign against Egypt and other moderate Arab government during and after Gaza crisis came in this very context of the geopolitical split and conflict in the Middle East, associated with accelerating regional reality of camps forming that produced two major conflicting regional camps.

In this regard, I predicted that this regional context, realities and related developments including the latest Iranian campaign would drive the Arab moderate camp, especially Egypt and Saudi Arabia, to react in some way and to work hard in a serious way to confirm and strengthen the regional position of this camp along with its regional view, role and policies.

In this context, there is a question should be asked about the political significance of this recent reaction or response by this moderate camp and its latest rhetoric and policies in this regard. Actually, it is the publicity and the exposure of this entire situation, as this camp is going public on this regional and Arab situation. Previously, there were no public declarations, exposures or any revelations concerning this entire situation or its ramifications and consequences. Now, it is going public through the rhetoric and actions of both camps, especially the mainstream moderate camp revealing this reality.

In addition to the related rhetoric by the moderate camp in this regard, its related actions become very significant and indicative. The most important example, in this regard, is the latest meeting of nine leading Arab countries in the United Arab Emirates over the regional developments including Arab regional coordination and cooperation, the Gaza question and the consequent Palestinian issue besides the regional interventions question, particularly by Iran, the topic that publicly declared by some convening countries, especially the host country. This is actually the clearer expression and indication of the predicted new approach by the moderate camp, especially as both Syria and Qatar were not invited to this key meeting in a very significant and indicative course.

Apparently, the mainstream Arab moderate camp is going to the next level in tackling the Iranian penetration and intervention in the Arab region and affairs, and in confronting the Iranian expansionist regional policy.
