Men And Food: Kuwaiti Man Beats Wife Over Iftar Meal, American Kills Wife Over Breakfast
Domestic violence and abuse of women occurs all over the world. Although there are women who physically abuse men, the preponderance of domestic violence is against women. Oftentimes, it's part of an alcoholic's modus operandum. They get drunk, enraged and take it out on their women. The next morning, if sober, they are contrite and apologetic. This becomes part of the cycle of violence and why many women will stay in an abusive relationship. But most of these men don't need much to trigger their anger and in some cases it can be something as unimportant as the preparation of a meal.

Take for example two men on opposite sides of the world: the U.S. and Kuwait. One man beat his wife, the other killed his, and 'food' prompted both incidents. Both of these men obviously with major anger management problems. The least egregious incident was a Kuwaiti man who beat the hell out of his wife because she didn't make his Iftar meal. At least she was alive enough to file a complaint with the police in Jahra.
The woman told police her husband got furious when he discovered that she did not prepare Iftar meal for him. A heated argument ensued between them, prompting him to beat her. She provided police with a medical report to substantiate her claim. A case was registered and police will summon the husband for questioning.
The American woman was not so lucky; neither was his stepdaughter and several neighbours. This monster, 47-year-old Stanley Neace, became so angered at the way his wife prepared his breakfast eggs he gunned his wife and stepdaughter down as they fled to neighbours. For good measure he shot three neighbours as well. According to witnesses, who told a relative (Sherri Anne Robinson) about what transpired.
Ms. Robinson said that when his wife fled to a neighbor’s trailer, Mr. Neace followed and shot her and the others. She said he allowed a young girl to flee.“He just got mad at his wife for not making his breakfast right and he shot her,” she said.
The police said the victims were Mr. Neace’s wife, Sandra Neace, 54; her daughter Sandra Strong, 28; and their neighbors Dennis Turner, 31; Teresa Fugate, 30; and Tammy Kilborn, 40.
Neighbors in the roadside mobile home park said Mr. Neace stormed across about seven lawns and fired dozens of shots.
When police arrived at the scene, an hour after the fact, they heard a gunshot fire and found Neace dead inside his home.
Apparently the family was being evicted from the trailer park, in a rural part of Kentucky, because of Neace's "unpredictable" anger problems that seemed to be getting worse. Too bad that didn't happen sooner, three neighbours would still be alive. More importantly, why did no-one get him evaluated for psychological treatment of his anger?
It's too late for Neace's wife, but hopefully the Kuwaiti man will undergo anger management treatment for his problems, before they escalate to murder.
There is no excuse for violence against any human being, male or female.
