Meet me....I'm Winter.
They call me old, they call me sad,
But enter me deep, I’m not so bad.
Leaves tread the ground, detached from their parents’ bay,
Travelling further away with the wind’s sway.
With a chafing rustle, they forerun my accession,

As to the seasonal throne, I take succession.
The interiors are now aglow with snug heat,

Erstwhile busy hearts now chirpily meet.
The pace of time is so unforgiving, sowing war seeds in daily living,

So I play the friction in your ways, to mellow the racy days.

Sit with your adored souls, in homes affectionately cozy,
As the blend of leisure and my wintery influence, makes your skin pink and rosy!
“But Oh Winter!" Says Nature, “Rob me not of my green!"
“Fret not!” Say I, “I promise snow to embellish you with, humble Queen!"
I’m not as cold as my touch may be, I pay due heed to emotions sweet,
After soothing slumber, comes morning bright,
Children beam through windows, for the world is white!
It’s a soft silken bed, made of flakes tender and light,

In juvenile eyes, glistens snowy delight!
On the white of the ground soars flamboyance high,

For Christmas is here and New Year is nigh.
Despite rampant joy, I breathe out a sigh….
They say Winter is cold, wish I knew why!
