Officials say a University of Wisconsin Med Flight helicopter returning to Madison with a doctor, nurse and pilot aboard is missing.

University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics spokeswoman Lisa Burnette says the helicopter took off Saturday about 10:30 p.m. after dropping off a patient at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

Burnette says there was no communication with the craft after it took off.
