Manu Sharma's Nemisis -- Delhi Pubs

POLITICS. .

The poor little rich boy, who had everything, so much so that he never had to hear the word "no". any demand made by him whether good or bad was fulfilled immediately, afterall he belonged to a very rich family who owed hotels and industries and to top it all even had a say in the politics.

So when he visited a Delhi pub,Tamarind Court in April 1999 he wanted a drink, just a small tinnie-winnie drink, which he could have easily had without any problems if he was somewhere else but he was in Tamarind Court where the bartender was a pretty model Jessica Lall, now she had clear instructions to serve drinks upto a certain time than stop, so when Manu asked for a drink the time limit was over and Jessica refused to serve him. What did Manu do he got so infuriated on hearing the word "no' that he took out his pistol and just shot point blank at Jessica killing her on the spot. Great efforts were made for a cover up but finally justice was done and Manu was convicted and is serving a life sentence presently.

A month ago Manu was out on parole for two months citing his mother's illness, who by the way is hale and hearty and attending press conferences, his father's business which is allegedly run by his brother and his grandmother's death anniversary.

All would have gone well for Manu if he had not visited a Delhi pub again. History repeated itself though thankfully not in the same way as the last time. The party comprising of Manu and his friends and bodygaurds got into a brawl with none other than the son of a very influential Police Officer.Obviously he came into limelight and had to surrender before the expiry of his parole period.

Now there is a very emotional letter addressed to his mother which is in each and every newspaper, (deliberate leak?) about how he loved his mother and how media is biased and how he will always stand by the values?? she had taught him.

What is shocking is the way everyone who is anyone in political arena including the Delhi CM has made it easy for Manu to be released on parole on grounds which were not verified properly.

Secondly many poor prisoners whose families are left destitute because of their conviction even if request for parole on, like a HIV positive Tihar inmate suffering from TB was refused parole on the grounds that his release would disturb law and order he has a 75 year old ailing mother and a 10 year old daughter. Others were also refused parole even if their reasons were genuine.

Rich and famous or not so famous always score anywhere and every where.
