Man Who Claims "Allah Made Him Kill His Family Is Charged With Murder
People usually blame the devil when they go on rampages and kill people. One usually hears "the devil made me do it", but in the case of a Chicago man who apparently flipped out and killed a bunch of relatives, it was "Allah" who told him he should murder his family. The 32-year-old Chicago suspect, James Larry, shot and killed his pregnant wife, Twanda Thompson, his niece 16-year-old pregnant girl named Keyshai Fields, his 7-month-old son named "Jihad" and another niece, Keleasha Larry, age 3. He also wounded his mother and a nephew. He apparently had a criminal past, so it's not surprising he would one day snap. And he would have killed more, apparently, had he had more ammunition, and obviously felt no remorse.

According to media reports, Larry told police following his arrest early Wednesday that he heard voices encouraging him to kill his family and was sorry he had run out of bullets. He is being held without bond and was scheduled for a court appearance Friday, police said.
Leaving a trail of dead bodies in various bedrooms, he also shot at another young girl as she escaped and ran to a gas station to call 911. James Larry had come to Chicago from Wisconsin with his wife, son and mother. Apparently he had recently married the 19-year-old woman, who he had been with for 2 years, and, according to a newspaper report, Thompson's sister claimed they had been arguing about Twanda's refusal to wear Islamic wear. As with many, Larry converted to Islam while in jail and started to become more fanatical.
On Tuesday, the suspect had come down from Madison, Wis. with his wife and son and mother to visit his sister, Keisha Larry, according to the suspect's sister, Letisha Larry, 30. "He snapped out and killed them," Larry said. "He was saying some Muslim stuff."Larry, who also lives in Madison, said her brother had been a "little weird" lately.
"He was like just saying little weird little stuff about (how) he was an angel and we were demons, there's demons in the house," Larry said.
The suspect carried around the Quran, and about a week ago he started telling his family that something in the book told him to kill someone, Letisha Larry said.
She wasn't aware of her brother having any diagnosed mental problems, and she said she thinks he should be brought to justice.
"How you going to shoot your mom and then your wife and kids? That's just crazy," Letisha Larry said. "Your niece and nephew. Why would you do something like that? You were just a killer."
Thompson and her mother Veronica said they were told by police that the suspect opened fire unprovoked, first shooting his wife in the neck and wounding the others in the head. When he saw that his wife was still alive, he shot her in the head, Thompson said.
If the sister claims her brother wasn't mentally ill, then what made him snap? Religion? Do some people become so obsessed that they suddenly lose a grip with reality? Wiping out a family in one feel swoop, his own little terrorist act, all in the name of Allah.
