United States :
A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to 11 months in jail for spray-painting swastikas on several Brooklyn buildings.
Pavel Andreenko (an-DRINK’-oh) pleaded guilty on July 25 to criminal mischief and was sentenced Wednesday.
Prosecutors say he painted the Nazi symbol on 11 buildings, then called 911 to anonymously report the crimes.
A police officer who knew him from a previous criminal issue recognized him as he left one of the pay phones. Detectives recognized his voice on the 911 recordings.
