Largest Earthquake Hits Japan

The largest earthquake ever recorded, an 8.9 magnitude hit the northeastern coast of Japan on Friday. It triggered a tsunami that is sending up to 13-foot to waves from Asia to the Western coast of the United States.

Cars are washed away and some small islands are at risk of going under water.
Aftershocks from the quake are in the range of 5.6 to 7.4 magnitudes.
Tsunami warning is in effect for Japan, Russia, Marcus Island and Hawaii.
