“Land Acquisition” in the public/Self interest….
It is good that now all parties have woken up against the Land Acquisitions of the Farmers for the purpose of development of Housing and other projects by the corporate and private entrepreneurs.

If the issue is raked up by Mr. Rahul Gandhi then it assumes more significance. I think now the bill will surely be tabled by the UPA II in the next session of the parliament, which ever party would oppose will face wrath of the peasants and farmers in the Hastings.
Mayawati regime if allowed would have sold the entire land holdings in the name of development for one simple reason that she personally and her party is the biggest beneficiary of such land deals. As many would confess privately that for every land deal concluded by the Development Authority of Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and many others in UP she has collected equivalent amount of the land what is sale cost of the land under reference be for the hospitals, Colleges and institutions or for any other purpose. This she does very cleverly through the favored class of Officers, who are appointed at the coveted posts in these Departments. Not satisfied on the performance if any one is failing in doing as asked for that person is simply removed from the position and posted else where in the State. I don’t know why CBI or Intelligence Agencies fail to reach this truth where as they have all empowerment under the law. No one is taking note of the fact that Mayawati’s fortune now runs in Crores and her party became second richest party over just few years after she came to power in UP. This is the truth which every one knows except CBI and Income Tax Department and our so called judiciary. Up is a case for examination on corruption. I remember having heard during my one of the visits to Haryana during which villagers claimed to have said that Chautalas have sold Haryana and nothing is left for next party who ever come in power. This Land Acquisition in the name of public interest is wrong act of all the Govts. whether are in north or south, east or west.
There is absolute necessity that the law which can protect the rights of the farmers is passed on priority. This is now subject like a hot potato and will play much larger role in politics of this nation where farmers are believed to be 60% of the population. Let this be done by UPA II and earn the benefits.
