Kiran Bedi says ‘Yes’ to politics but with a condition
Would India be able to grab the opportunity, suspending from over past 15 years? Giving break to 181 women to shadow the country’s highest decision-making body would prove to become landmark step ahead. But more groundbreaking revelation is where India’s first woman IPS officer Dr. Kiran Bedi unveiled her intentions to join politics. But before arriving the Parliament she moots for women bill to be implemented

While addressing a seminar at Confluence 2010, a two-day function held by Rotary International District, at the Law Auditorium in Punjab University on 21st of January 2010, Dr. Bedi said, "I would like to join politics and am making it very clear for the first time in public. I would put my life at stake to work for issues that matter to me provided 33 per cent seats are reserved for women at the Centre,"
This highly appreciable decision must meet with a welcome step by those opposing the bill. Mooting for Muslim women or quota within quota while playing politics over the bill, parliamentarians should react maturely & must not overlook the plus of the bill.
With 35 years o tough, innovative & welfare policing. Serving in a number of tough assignments ranging from Traffic of New Delhi, Director General of Narcotics Control Bureau popularly referred to as Crane Bedi for towing the Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s car for a parking violation, the Magsaysay award winner indicating to try her luck in politics hints of positive effects of women bill. One who always averse to politics is now looking for a path to serve people should assemble with a thumping support for kiran bedi.
