I was just wondering as what could be the reasons that Keralites are doing much better as compared to tamilians, andhraites, kaanngadis in north India? I only find answer in saying that it is openness and acceptance of Hindi as a national language the Keralites are much at ease in speaking Hindi as compared to people down the south. Worst are tamilians, who opposed hindi and are suffering. They are lagging behind in English as a language and have never liked hindi. I think politicians who created this rift now should see the reasoning of a link language to remain in contacts with the people.
Barriers of any nature can not be encouraged. Today Gujarat is working extra time to learn English and be in the race of development. UP and Bihar have started realizing this as well. English is and would remain a language of development and it would be a link language for International trade and commerce.
Politicians often have been found to create confusion for achievement of short term goals and forget larger interests of the society.
Case of caste inclusion in census is another burning issue which would divide the society and create unbalances and disturb harmony that some how other exist today. I would strongly urge our respected politicians to suggest to the Govt. that every citizen should stop using their surnames and castes for their identity rather than encouraging caste divide. Every one should own ‘Indian ‘as a religion and be respectable member of the Union.
