Kahani poori filmy hai
It was a lead pair with looks to kill, whether it’s Angelina Jolie or Johnny Depp, the combined glam quotient of the two creates enough bling to overshadow rest of the flicks in box office. I believe many were lured by there charisma and so was I, if you have started wondering why have I used the word lure than the best way to put it across is that I felt as if I was watching a 90’s Bollywood flick when plastic surgery was a buzz word and getting rid of a crime was all about a visit to the nearest plastic surgeon. Does anyone remember 100 days?
All I can say about The Tourist is that it was a complete waste of a fabulous star cast. A scene where an official from Scotland Yard leaks information about the fugitive to a mafia tycoon, reminds me of a corrupt filmy Indian police officer. For God’s sake it’s Scotland Yard, the best police force in the world. Moving on, why on earth is the Italian police force looking so much indebted to Scotland Yard. A Scotland Yard police officer was instructing a team of Italian police officers, seating from his plush office in London. Even if the Interpol is involved the concerned police officer should be at ground zero and not at his plush office in London, may be the director wanted to incorporate some of the techie part to give it the feel of a Bond film. It was heights when an Italian police officer, who intercepted Johnny, out of nowhere, decides to hand him over to the goons of the mafia tycoon for few extra bucks.
Suddenly it is revealed that Angelina Jolie is actually an undercover police officer and she has gone astray, if she has gone astray then how could she enter the police check post by giving details of her identification card. Every police post is immediately notified about an absconding police officer and she should have been intercepted, the moment she shared her identification details with the police officers.
Last but not the least, (Frank) Johnny Depp is the real Alexander Pearce and he assumes a new identity by dint of plastic surgery and it is indeed truly very filmy. The final nail on the coffin comes when Angelina Joli is handed her termination letter towards the end of the case in a dock, whereas she had clearly breached many rules and should have been arrested at tried at the court.
‘Oh how much I missed the Bollywood Flicks where Mithun played a cop with long tresses.’
