Jordan named Celebrity Mum of the Year

British model Jordan has been named Celebrity Mother of the Year in an online poll conducted by Grattan.com

Jordan - real name Katie Price - beat out other contenders including Victoria Beckham, and Sarah Ferguson.

The buxom glamour (code for topless) model said:

For the first time in my life I'm truly gob smacked. I'm so chuffed to receive this award from Grattan. Harvey and Junior will be so proud of their mummy.

Jordan's four-year-old son Harvey from her previous relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke was born partially blind and has a growth disorder. Jordan and current husband, singer Peter Andre have a two year old son Junior. She is currently pregnant with her third child, due out this summer.

Grattan boss Mike Hancox, in presenting the award said:

The general public showed in their voting how much they respect and admire her as a mother.

Katie has become a symbol of how a person can constantly be in the public eye, whilst remaining a devoted and doting mum.

Jordan had a much publicized relationship with Dane Bowers of the boy band Another Level. She aborted his baby after discovering he had cheated on her.

In 2002, Jordan revealed that she had embarked on a secret sexual relationship with Gareth Gates (the then 17 year old pop-star of Pop Idol fame), whilst she was 4 months pregnant with her son Harvey.

This New Year's Eve, Harvey was raced to hospital after scalding himself in the bath.
