Marion Jones’ seven relay partners have filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport seeking to retain their 2000 Olympic medals.
Jones had her medals stripped last year after admitting to doping during the Sydney Games. Last month, the International Olympic Committee disqualified her seven relay partners, conceding none of the athletes broke any rules.
The seven filed the appeal Thursday.
Jones teamed with Jearl-Miles Clark, Monique Hennagan, LaTasha Colander-Richardson and Andrea Anderson to win gold in the 1,600-meter relay, and with Chryste Gaines, Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry and Passion Richardson to win the bronze in the 400.
